A Journey Up North - Ipoh

Last week, we (Tysern and yours truly) decided to drive up to Ipoh to crash one of the class trips organised by Gzhang. xD

Photobucket

It was quite an amazing experience to go on a road trip especially when you get to drive!!

It took me one an a half hours to reach Simpang Pulai, one of the entrance to Ipoh. Mainly because I was driving kinda fast. :P

Photo taken by Tysern

Photobucket

Once we reached Simpang Pulai toll, I pulled over at the rest stop to pay my "water bill" and the guys started to camwhore.

Right after the other cars arrived, we headed to town for brunch.

Stay tuned for more!

The Late Postcard

I just came back from my Ipoh trip. It was an abrupt plan to head up north to Ipoh that Tysern and I came out with. Anyways, I sent an e-postcard back from Ipoh but I guessed it arrived late due to sucky internet connection over there.

Here's the content.

Will blog more soon. =)

Just Because You're Not Cool

I know this might sound kinda childish but I deserve the right to voice out my personal thoughts.

Here are the portrait shots of the ex-temporary teachers of SMK Damansara Jaya.
Photobucket
Sadly I wasn't in the picture.

The radical decisions made by the current headmistress put me into a situation in which I have a tendency to "b*tch".

Let me tell you, yes, all of you a series of events that happened recently.

Exactly two months ago, the four of us were asked to attend Prefects Camp in May to assist the discipline teachers in handling the large group of participants.

*Prefects, we were supposed to give you a surprise during the camp.*

Just because the students threw us farewell parties in which slight misunderstanding happened, she banned us from attending prefects camp.

Fair enough, we didn't control the crowd properly and we deserve to face the consequences.

What really puts me off is that she even banned us from attending the annual sports day.

Reason: One of the teachers received farewell hugs from students.

We are now like the terrorists to the school and I think sooner or later, she is going to barricade the school and even hire guard dogs to keep us away.

Justify me if I am wrong, but I just do not understand why she has to take such drastic measures.

Enough bitching talking about her or else I'll suffer from mental breakdown.

Last week, had a small photoshoot and the featured model is Eri!

Here's a sneak preview on one of the shots that I took.

More to come!

Belated Farewell Speech

*Edited. I have added a picture of Ming Kuan. xD*

It has been almost a month after I left my teaching career. Everything is fine now; I have my daily job as a data entry clerk working from 8am to 5pm literally. Sometimes, I even have the time go for an evening job since I'll be home before six.

Unlike my previous job, work started at 1pm to 7pm in which when I reached home, it would be 7.30pm. Nevertheless, I had fun after a day of teaching in school. =)

I could still remember the first day I entered my classes; one of them was 2 Batai. I used to be this shy guy who couldn't actually speak in front of a big crowd. I had to crack my head to think of what to speak all the time.

Eventually, I got used to it and improved myself along the way. This is one of my greatest lesson in life that I learnt from my students. You guys are the greatest mentors.

A teacher once told me that teaching is the new entertainment industry where the audience comprises students and only students. Being the actor, you have to come out with ingenious ideas to make a lesson interesting. Or else, they will just fall asleep or maybe doing something nasty in class.

Cut the long story short now....

I could still remember the first day that we temporary teachers received our pay.

Photobucket

Although the pay wasn't high but we did enjoy our job and continued for another month.

Soon, some of us had to leave to further continue their studies. One by one, the number of temporary teachers decreased. Fortunately, another great comrade, Kevin joined the 'entertainment industry'.

Photobucket

We did many crazy things together. How crazy?
Well, how about twisting Tysern's nipples during Abel's farewell?
Photobucket

Or

Drinking some weird concoction prepared by the students
Photobucket

or

Being stripped by the students
Photobucket

Or

Pole-dancing to a song
Photobucket

We even wrote a letter to the PIBG to ask for a pay rise. Sadly, they turned us down and requested for guru sandaran to replace us.

Soon, all of us had to leave.

I was the first to leave among the four (Chuah, Tysern, Kevin and me). We didn't throw a grand farewell party compared to the time when Abel left. Instead, I decided to play a few songs as a token of appreciation to my students.

Photobucket

They were a lovely bunch of avid listeners I must say.
Photobucket

I envy the other temporary teachers in group pictures because most of the time they get nice pictures and being the photographer, I'm always left out. =(

Take a few examples below:

And when I finally gotten the chance to take a group picture, they have to cover my face. =(

Photobucket

Just joking......

In fact, I had lots of great looking group photos thanks to Tysern, Kevin and Chong Xian.

Photobucket

Does farewell mean giving speeches?
Photobucket

Or

Writing last minute farewell cards?
Photobucket

Or

Just staring at the person giving the speech?
Photobucket

I don't really believe in farewell speeches because I'm not never good at giving one. I believe that I will gain more friends as the time goes by. And in fact,
I have expanded my friendship circle to a bigger loop comprising students who I used to teach.

Life goes on no matter what. Although we're leaving the school, but do cherish the happy moments we spent together as students, friends and even teachers because happy thoughts last forever.

On behalf of the "cool" temporary teachers,
Photobucket

I would like to say a big thank you to all the students as well as teachers from SMK Damansara Jaya.

And to the students, YOU made us great and we will never forget YOU.

Regards,
Patrick

Charmingly Cheering Cheerleaders

I think it's about time to put aside my India trip photos and blog about something which happened recently.

I know some of you are already tired of viewing wedding photos which has been posted for the past few days weeks. xD

Besides, some of you are pestering for the cheerleading competition photos organized by CHARM. I know who you are. ;P

Jokes aside and let the story begin, shall we?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Few weeks ago, CHARM organized a cheerleading competition held in Cineleisure, The Curve.

Photobucket

I was there to "cuci mata" support my beloved students who took part in one of the cheer categories.

Photobucket

I arrived late and hence, all the good spots were being taken. As they say, it's better late than never.

Photobucket

The mall was packed with audience on a Sunday afternoon. I was practically sweating when shooting chicks the event.

But, my case wasn't as bad as the guy below. xD

Photobucket

I must say most of the participants were extremely good that I felt ashamed of myself. Even the guys could dance better than me.

Photobucket

During intervals, audiences were asked to join some fun games and etc.

One of the audience was asked to do a full split and gosh, the "bags" are going to hurt, alot.

Photobucket

I shall just let the photos do the talking for the time being.

Photobucket

Photobucket

They even used a scientific calculator to calculate the marks.
Photobucket
I didn't know such event could "Cos" your "Tan" to "Sin".

And finally, the moment of truth, The Minimitez from SMK Damansara Jaya!

Photobucket

There were two teams from SMK Damansara Jaya participating the competition and they were awesome with their cool dance moves!

Unfortunately, only one team managed to bring back the award.

Anyways, it is not the prize that matters but the experience that counts!

You girls were awesome and I'm proud of every single one of you!

*P/s:I even told the guy standing next to me that those girls are my students.xD
