400 Euphoria!

Guess what? I finally gotten myself a 400D.

What's a 400D?

Presenting Canon 400D DSLR

I bought yesterday and it was on a promotional price.

I bought the kit lens because I was on a budget since my mom loaned the money to me.

I paid RM 2750 for:
  • Canon 400D ( Body)
  • Canon EFS 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 (lens)
  • 2.0 GB Ultra High II compact flash card
  • Screen Protector
  • Canon camera bag
  • 3M cleaning cloth
I can't wait to upload the photos I took with the DSLR.

*P/s: Rina, I was surfing your site while taking the photo. Hope you don't mind.=)

Hey readers! The blogger is currently staying in Le Meridien KL for a night. He will be back tomorrow and might post a review of the hotel.

Meanwhile, he is surfing net at the Le Royal Club Lounge and will give you a sneak preview on the lounge.

Ahh.. This is my type of paradise. =)

*P/s: Photos taken using my W810i Camera Phone.

The Apartment

Short Talk: I'll be celebrating Merdeka at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur tomorrow! Will do a review once I'm back. Meanwhile, you can check out the rooms here.

Two weeks ago, Justin, Gee, Ziyan and I went to the curve to celebrate Justin's 19th Birthday.
Who is Justin?

Justin was my guitarist because he already left the band, basketball buddy and a cool friend to hang out with.

We had our dinner at The Apartment and I shall let the pictures do the talking.

The interior design of the restaurant is superb. My apologies for not taking much of it. The owner of the restaurant renovated the place as if it is an apartment instead of a restaurant.

Besides that, the ambiance is more of a cozy theme. They even have beds cum chairs for you to sit and have a pillow fight with your friends. In this case, my partner in crime - Gee.

The design of the smoking area is wonderful too as if you're eating on a balcony.

While waiting for our food to be served, we took some crazy pictures. =P *Please don't kill me guys*

After moderate waiting, our food arrived.
First off, we have Roast Duck with Rice - Justin

Followed by Ziyan's Cheese Baked Fish with Potatoes.

And then came Gee's English Lamb Curry with Bread.

Question:
What happens when you have this(photo below) added with rice?

You'll get a great combination and that was what I ordered for dinner.

The food was delicious and the price was reasonable as well. *Around RM 20 per person*
But remember this, sky juice is charged at RM 2.00 per jug and additional rice will cost you RM 3.00 per serving.

I was so tempted by the curry that I had wasted RM 3.00 to order another plate of rice. Oh great!

Random

I was browsing through my folder and I found this.

I couldn't believe that I actually drew this to help out a friend. Call me nerd but hey, this is way better than those in Fajar Bakti or Pelangi form 5 physics reference books.

Easier to understand right? =)

Of Class Gathering and Steamboat Buffet

I had a class gathering with my ex form 5 mates few weeks ago at Yuen's Steamboat Buffet Restaurant.

It has been quite some time since I last meet up with those guys. Well, I can see that most of them moved on and further their studies to universities while I'm still stuck with form six. =(

Anyway, priced at RM 21.00 per pax. I think the steamboat buffet is worth your bucks. Although the meat selection sucks, but the tom yam was so sizzling hot that I could drink till I drop dead.

I'll just let the photos do the talking.

While the guys were busy talking,

I was happily munching down my food till I stacked up a pile of plates. =)

The tom yam soup was so delicious that Justin became high.

Justin high on cracks

One of the highlights or should I say the most delicious food is the Honey BBQ chicken.

Why would I say so?
This is because when the dish was freshly served out, the chicken wings were gone within seconds.

All the patrons were insanely crazy over it that I took the initiative to film the documentary of a bunch of wing lusting humans.

Lastly, the final chapter of the class gathering ended with a group photo.

Busy Weekend

It has been a busy weekend for me.

Sadly, school reopens tomorrow and my holiday mood had just started. This is so wonderful.

Anyway, nothing much to post for today. Was very tired and need to finish all the holiday work which I didn't bother doing it during the holidays.

Will update soon. Stay tune and meanwhile, a photo to all.

San Francisco

Remember about my trip to US last year? Here's a continuation to it. Just a few photos to show for the moment.

Hail Eric!

Don't you just love Eric Clapton? =D

If you have not heard about him, this might help you a bit.

He is one of the greatest guitarists in the world. All his songs give you a sense of coziness where you can just sit down and relax while listening to his songs.

I present to you now, Change The World (live) - Eric Clapton

Rat Patootee

Take a wild guess on the message which I'm going to convey from my blog title.

If you are still scratching your head, I watched Ratatouille today.

The real meaning of Ratatouille is a traditional French Provençal stewed vegetable dish. The dish, originating in Nice, is fully named ratatouille niçoise.

The movie is great and I must say that PIXAR has done another fine job after Cars or even The Incredibles. The food in the movie was so real that it can make your tummy roar. I think the movie is worth watching due to its creative storyline and not to forget the amazing graphics done by the CG Team(CG = computer graphics). Kudos guys!

I would rate the show a 8 out of 10.

Storyline of the show:
Remy is a rat, constantly risking life in an expensive French restaurant because of his love of good food, as well as a desire to become a chef. Yet, obviously, this is a rather tough dream for a rat. But opportunity knocks when a young boy, who desperately needs to keep his job at the restaurant, despite his lack of cooking abilities, discovers and partners the young Remy. Its up to the two of them to avoid the insane head chef, bring the rest of Remy's family up to his standards, win his partner a girl, and, of course, produce the finest Ratatouille in all of France.

Bittersweet

One moment I'm very happy that my sis is going to loan me money to get a DSLR. On the other hand, I was contemplating on whether to get the Canon 400D or the Nikon D80. Guess I shall just use my S2 till I finish STPM before buying another camera. Patience is a virtue right? Plus, camera prices might drop by the end of the year. =)

Picture of the day:

*P/s: Any advice on which brand of DSLR to opt for? Gracias Muchos =D

A Walk To Remember

Two weeks ago, I accompanied mom for a walking session around the residential area. I reckon it has been quite some time since I last accompanied mom to walk around the area.

Nature is always full of wonders but sadly its quality has been deteriorating due to pollution by mankind.

Fortunately, I can still see some trees around my area and I must say they have been conserved well for future generations. Trust me, those trees have been there since I was born. 19 years perhaps? =)

Well, just let the pictures do the talking. =D

On a lighter note, working on a meaningful song with Ziyan. Hopefully the lyric of the song will prevail before the jam session this coming week.

Rubik's Cube

I'm currently in this craze of solving the rubik's cube. Solving it is one thing, but doing it in the shortest time is insanely difficult.

So what's a rubik's cube?

Anyway, this is my fastest record.

I'm still new at it hence I won't be as fast as those insane people who can solve it in less than 20 seconds.

Here's a video of me solving the cube. But this time I wasn't as fast as the previous attempt.

Hectic Weekend!

Of gathering and a gig. Seriously, I really need a break now despite the fact that the holidays are around the corner.

Been busy lately that I don't have time to upload pictures and blog. My sincere apologies to all.

On a lighter note, the gig was awesome although the crowd were uhm... not so suitable for our type of music. =P

Could you imagine playing bittersweet symphony in a charity event full of grandpas and grandmas?

Anyway, I feel that our performance last night were way much better than Battle of the Bands which was held last year.

Well, as they say, its the experience that counts and we got paid in the end for the performance. Our band's very first paid gig. We named ourselves "One Black Short" yesterday night because our drummer - Prakash couldn't make it. *no hard feelings my homie boy =)*

Yesterday's gig made me reminisce so much about last year's battle of the band. This year, I really feel like joining the battle. Alas, my trials is drawing near and I can't afford to neglect my studies. It's either go or no go at all.

Screw the battle of the bands for having it so late or maybe too early!!!*exam ends before December*
